Adventure Aid: Student Travel Fund was established to build on the passion of teachers who have worked tirelessly over the years to support their students' ability to live authentic educational experiences through travel.
Educational travel transforms lives. From building independance, bolstering social emotional skills and strategies, and sparking life-long passions; student travelers and their families see the incredible benefits.
For many students and their families, travel is a luxury that is out of reach. We have heard many times from caregivers that although a family trip may be out of reach, they are committed to putting in the hard work so that their child can have these amazing experiences.
Students who have been sponsored and supported through generous donations have:
- Reflected on their impact on the wider community
- Pushed past their comfort zones to try something they never would have considered
- Improved their interpersonal skills
- Learned valuable money-management skills
- Discovered passions in the arts and sciences that they've continued to explore
- Built life-long friendships with people outside their typical "circle"
- Chosen college career-paths in environmental sciences and outdoor education
- Explored new cultures including food, art, recreation, and beliefs
